Eduard van Beinum worked with the Concertgebouw for nearly 30 years, first as an assistant to Felix Mengelberg and then as chief conductor following Mengelberg's termination following the war. This is nearly a complete collection for Beinum's recordings for his tenure with the orchestra. A huge and wonderful collection in good sound from a largely forgotten maestro. Highly recommended.
