The musical life of the New York group "Brethren" did not work out - having released two albums, they disbanded in 1972. On the other hand, all four members of “Brethren” were doing more than well individually. They all became highly sought after session musicians who were attracted to work by many rock stars. Drummer Rick Marotta has played with the likes of John Lennon, Paul Simon, Stevie Nicks, Steely Dan and others. Guitarist and main vocalist Tom Cosgrove has played with Al Kooper, Todd Rundgren, among others. Bassist Stu Woods has played with Jim Croce, Barry Manilow, Tony Orlando, and keyboardist Mike Garson has played with David Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins and others.
