Honey Creek - Devil's Lullaby (2016)

Honey Creek, the band formed around the American singer James Boyle, are authentic, entertaining, and excellent musicians who easily maintain a friendly, casual rapport with their audience. Their blues interpretations, ranging from Elvis Presley to ZZ Top, are original and one of a kind. Honey Creek's live show can only be described as energetic and professional.
The charismatic James Boyle presents the songs with power, passion and authenticity, and as a native speaker, he knows what he is singing about. This may also be the reason that he has composed most of the band's own songs. He is a born entertainer and an every-man's rockstar, totally lacking the rockstar attitude, and his stage presence makes it almost impossible to not jump out of your seat when the band starts pumping.
He has toured extensively throughout Europe, after being signed to Sony with his band "Come Up Screaming". His follow-up band "StickBoy" has a cult following all over Europe, especially after recording their hit single "We Are Punks" for the motion picture of the same name. Moving into the country/bluegrass arena, James formed Sly & Boyle and their CD "The Original Bitterroot Boys" was heard almost daily in German radio. This band paved the way for the bluesy sound that eventually led him to Honey Creek.
The band is refreshing and dynamic, and their unconventional style makes it impossible to categorize them as strictly "blues". Full of surprises, highlights and rough edges, every concert is an experience not to be missed.
