PAX is a hard rock and acid rock band formed in late 1969 in Lima. Led since its inception by the first guitar Pico Ego-Aguirre, the band is the forerunner of Hard rock in Latin America, for 1971, at the same time as the first productions of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, they released their LP which is currently considered a jewel of Peruvian and Hispanic American rock. After the military dictatorship of Juan Velasco Alvarado in Peru the band disbanded and later regrouped in the 80s, after another recess the band returned and in 2008 they performed with Deep Purple at the National Stadium of Peru.
