Retrieval is a compilation of previously un-released and sporadically vinyl-only or long since lost tracks.
4 of them saw the light of day around the time of the release of 'Threads' as an accompanying EP titled 'Offcuts' which never got an official release digitally.
The rest are exclusive archive tracls including a never-before released instrumental mix of 'Dark Sunrise' - a seminal Om Unit classic which was arguably one of the main tracks that inspired the birth of what became to be known as 'half-time'
The album also features an instrumental 'dub' of 'The Silence' - a performance instrumental for vocalist Jinadu's live show, which works as a semi-instrumental of it's own.
'Fibonacci 10' originally appeared on a vinyl-only release via Manchester's now de-funked but much celebrated Hoya:Hoya outfit.
3 more beats appear amongst the fray from the very genesis of the Om Unit project, in a sweet spot where downtempo hiphop, soulful synthesis and dubby chugging rhythms collided, taken from the same era as the 'Lightgrids' 7" release on All City Records.
