Moore worked in the building industry for many years, continuing with this work while he built his audience. In 1997 he turned to music as a full-time occupation. Designated a new traditionalist, Moore has continued to attract audiences with a preference for an earlier style of country music. His popularity has spread beyond Ireland and his following extends through Europe and Scandinavia. Moore’s repertoire includes many covers of songs made popular by American country artists as well as a few original songs, some of which were composed by Irish songwriters: ‘Chasing That Neon Rainbow’, ‘Little Dutch Maiden’, ‘Holding Things Together’, ‘Love Without End, Amen’, ‘Honky-Tonk, Two-Steppin’, Beer-Drinkin’ Saturday Night’, ‘Starting New Memories’, ‘Got No Reason’, ‘We Owe It All To Those Who Have Gone Before’, ‘All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down’, ‘God Keeps The Wild Flowers Blooming’ and ‘Seven Spanish Angels’. Among musicians who have worked with Moore are Matthew Curran (guitar), Johnny Scott (guitar/dobro), John Dolan (piano), Charlie Arkins (violin/harmonica), Clive Culbertson (bass), and Manus Marron (drums).
