The four Orchestral Suites or Overtures BWV 1066 – 1069 were composed by Bach between 1725 and 1739 in Leipzig. These, together with the ‘Brandenburg’ Concertos, represent Bach’s entire orchestral output (not counting the various concertos for violin, harpsichord, and oboe).
