After four CDs with the Painting Jazz Duo, flanked by the Galag pianist Massimiliano Bruno Belloni, and "Our World", in duo with the percussionist Alessandro "Pacho" Rossi, the collaboration between saxophonist Emanuele Passerini and the Dodicilune label continues. Distributed in Italy and abroad by Ird and in the best online stores by Believe Digital, "Trio geometrics" is released on Tuesday 10 November.
On the disc - six original compositions ("Stevelonious", "Invocation - Trayne", "Stairs", "Jump & Run", "Intervals" and "Untitled"), a long 16 minute suite with "Glancing Backwards, Green Walnut and Amber ", three songs from the '60s /' 70s by the first groups of the English John Surman and" Deadline - The Crust "by the American Steve Lacy - Passerini's soprano sax is accompanied by the double bass of Tito Mangialajo Rantzer (" with his powerful, solid, wooden and rocky sound, able to act as the backbone of the entire building, or simply to whisper with the strings ") and from the drums and percussion of Tiziano Tononi (" a friend and a true teacher, with his incredible sense of space, rhythm, freedom and colors, capable of painting with his percussion and emitting enormous quantities of fire and flames from his drums »).
