Hoy, 1 de julio de 2021, la colaboración de Cantus con el extraordinario laudista, vihuelista y guitarrista Xavier Díaz-Latorre da un paso más. Tenemos el placer de anunciar a sus miles de seguidores en todo el mundo el lanzamiento de su grabación dedicada a Francesco da Milano ‘Il Divino’. Xavier ha querido centrarse en una de las publicaciones menos frecuentadas del genial Francesco, Il Libro della Fortuna, publicado en Nápoles en 1536. Para ello, en octubre de 2019 nos reunimos, junto al ingeniero de sonido Gonzalo Noqué, en la preciosa iglesia parroquial de Soto del Real (Madrid), sede del Festival Internacional de Música Antigua de esa localidad, y del cual Xavier Díaz-Latorre es frecuente artista invitado

And unexpectedly enthusiastic from his Narváez !
Profound at court while Gabriel Schebor is light in heaven :)
I think highly of this Díaz-Latorre and Gabriel Schebor rather than Nigel North, Paul O'Dette and even Hopkinson Smith !

Well, this is certainly far better than the O'Dette, North and Smith renderings (and the sound is extremely better as well). About Schebor, I think that Díaz-Latorre technique has nothing to do with Schebor, who is much more limited in all senses. This is, in my opinion, the best Da Milano ever released. And what use of the historical ornaments...
