With her stunning voice the Persian Mahsa Vahdat has attracted international attention during the last decade. During this time she has released seven albums. Some with her sister Marjan, others with the American soul singer Mighty Sam McClain or the Norwegian Choir SKRUK. Her latest solo album, "Traces Of An Old Vineyard", appeared in 2015 and was chosen by the magazine "Songlines" one of the best albums of the year. Now, just 13 months later, already the successor is entitled "The Sun Will Rise" on the market. Here is a pure a cappella album, which is based primarily on Vahdats own compositions. Your drew inspiration born in Tehran in 1973 artist from both the traditional and contemporary Persian poetry. The songs were recorded in old churches, castles and historic buildings in Van, Istanbul, Oslo, Warsaw, Provence and the Alhambra. For the technical realization of their producer Erik Hillestad was responsible. In some cases people were present at the shooting, so that the performance of a live performance possible.
