Taro Hakase (葉加瀬 太郎 Hakase Tarō, born January 23, 1968 in Suita, Osaka Prefecture) is a Japanese musician who specialises as a violinist.
Taro is an extraordinary solo violinist whose music is not confined to standard classical boundaries. He has a much wider crossover fan base than most traditional classical musicians. Respected as one of the most talented contemporary Japanese violinists and composers, his artistic abilities reach far beyond music.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the violinist's solo debut, and this year is the 15th anniversary of the Huts label, which is the music director. And next year will be the 50th anniversary of his birth, the new work of Taro Hakase, a continuation of the anniversary, is a member of "VIOLINISM II" announced in 2002, guitar Kiyotsugu Amano, piano Dai Sakakibara, cello Hiroki Kashiwagi, contrabass Toru Nishijima And a work that newly appointed Yuji Toriyama as a producer.
