Soeur Claire - Violon baroque (Au Monastère de Martigné Briand) (2021)

This opus is the second in a collection, "Musiques en Abbaye", produced and recorded by François Sibertin-Blanc (FSB Musique), intended to highlight the musicians of the monasteries. The idea, for this son of a renowned organist, was to be able to transmit, in these recordings, the "beautiful spiritual energy that reigns in the places where artists, monks and nuns live". In Martigné-Briand, Sister Claire put all her heart and virtuosity into it. “We wanted to do something that flowing, something varied and accessible to all, that was imbued with what the musicians of the monasteries experience in their spirituality. We chose to keep a very natural sound, which brings back all the finesse, nuances, articulations, and which gives more life ”. The recording also bears the imprint of the baroque violin produced for the musician by Pierre Jaquier, luthier and creator of the viola da gamba by musician Jordi Savall in the film "Tous les mornins du monde". Twenty years of complicity unite the nun with her instrument. "A new violin is shaped, you have to work it," she says. “These instruments have a very personal sound, it's still pretty mysterious. This is the art of the luthier ".
