Ten years ago, we released Of Norway’s first single on Connaisseur "Karpathian Thirst / The Bleeding“. Two albums, several EPs, singles, remixes and a wonderful friendship later, these two super nice Oslo-based chaps present their next musical inventory named "This Soft Apocalypse“ . A total of 7 titles turns this release into something somewhere between an EP and an album. This body of work is a mesmerising mix of both John Carpenter-like cineastic soundscapes and stunning electro and disco-infused tracks. What’s remarkable about "This Soft Apocalypse“ is its dark but cozy atmosphere.
And although it might appear like a reference to the current pandemic, the true nature of this release simply lies in the Norwegian love for a tongue in cheek take at Dystopia.
