Stillhound - Bury Everything (2016)

Combining jazz & hip-hop has a long tradition, just think of Guru's "Jazzmatazz" project in the 90s. The Berlin drummer and producer Magro continues on this path. After having worked with numerous artists as a drummer and producer over the years, Magro is now releasing his first album under his own name.

Trippin is the first single from Magro's album of the same name, which will be released on May 28, 2021. On the song he features the US rapper TwizzMatic and jazz legend Kurt Rosenwinkel. TwizzMatic raps critically about the ambiguity and naive immaturity of our society today. Kurt Rosenwinkel plays an apocalyptic guitar solo and lets the song end in a wide wave.

With his unusual sound he creates a fusion of acoustically played jazz and produced HipHop / RnB. Magro about his music: "I want to build a bridge between catchy produced music and the deep elements of jazz."
