Gorgeous melted drones and blurred guitar tones from K. Leimer, Marc Barreca, and Steve Peters, who first worked together back in 1980. Almost four decades later they've finally put together an album, and it's unmissable hazy industrial ambience for fans of Illusion of Safety, High Aura'd or Lawrence English.

'Proximity Effects' is the result of almost forty years of stasis. The three collaborators initially came together for a pair of one-off shows in Olympia, Washington, and it took them this long to reunite. Somehow, it was worth the wait; their music is patient and absorbing, a reflection of their expertise as well as their location in the Pacific Northwest.

Like the industrial ambient music of the 1980s when the trio began working together, there's a sense that Three Point Circle are channeling haunted tape loops from beyond the veil. It's hard to hear that there are three discreet minds at work, rather each sound is chiseled into a faint harmonic blur. Guitars are reduced to a low drone and bells smudged into breathy haze.

If you're into Room40's electro-acoustic output or the windswept ambience of Earth or High Aura'd, you're gonna get a kick out of this long-in-the-making plate.
