This rendering of Raga Multani is from the golden collection from Music Today that pays tribute to the master vocalist Rajan Mishra. These musical brothers Rajan & Sajan Mishra are part of a 300-year-old lineage of khayal singing of the Banaras gharana. Starting from humble beginnings they went on to conquer the world of music with their talent. They were awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2007, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, jointly in 1998, the Gandharwa National Award in 1994-1995 and the prestigious National Tansen Samman.
