Thanks to the efforts of the editorial team of the Polish Radio Archives, a unique selection is brought to the market, probably for the first time in this dimension and cross-section, showing the achievements of Poles living and working in exile, as well as their contribution to the world cultural heritage.

The publishing house does not lack the greatest Polish classical artists of the past: Paderewski, Maurycy Rosenthal, Józef Hofmann, Ignacy Friedman, Wanda Landowska, Artur Rodziński, Bronisław Huberman, Henryk Szeryng, Ida Haendel or Piotr Janowski, and the whole very varied repertoire extends from Artur Rubinstein playing Chopin's Polonaise in A major, through Jan Kiepura and Hanka Ordonówna, or through the most popular works - songs - by such great composers as Roman Palester and Andrzej Panufnik, to Krzysztof Klenczon and Karin Stanek. Yes, seemingly incompatible songs were found among more than forty others in total, on two CDs. It is no coincidence that the publishing house "The heart of a Pole, a citizen of the world" opens with a fragment of a speech given by the President of the Republic of Poland Lech Kaczyński during the 3rd World Congress of Polish Diaspora in 2007. The selection of archival recordings presented on the CDs has a symbolic dimension, which is well illustrated by the sentence from introducing to the publication the text of the President of Polish Radio, Agnieszka Kamińska: "Among the many reasons that determined the creation of this album, the need for the heart has a significant place."
The unique form of this release is particularly emphasized by the 126-page booklet that accompanies music records, but it is important to publish it on its own.
The first part is a graphic illustration of the history of Polish emigration and the events that forced it, from the partitions at the end of the 18th century to the accession of Poland to the European Union in 2004. There are well-known graphics and photos, as well as never published gems. In the second part we find, with photos, short biographies of all artists who appear on CDs as authors or performers.
"The heart of a Pole, and the talent of the world, a citizen" is a story about composers and performers who, living and creating abroad, have always emphasized their Polish origin. life, beyond their beloved homeland, about Poles who, while pursuing their great talents, never forgot about Poland and made its name famous all over the world.
