Howlin' Bill travels the Blues Highway, but also dares to wander of the beaten path to explore little know back roads, visiting different styles of Rhythm 'N' Roots along his journey, at times even adding Rock 'N' Roll and Rockabilly to the recipe. Howlin' Bill worked hard to achieve his musical goals. Writing, recording and performing relentlessly, the band released their debut album "Cool It" in 2003. Praised by fans and media alike, it encouraged Bill and his cohorts to launch a follow-up, entitled "Strike" in 2006. In 2009, during a sold-out concert, Howlin' Bill recorded a live album which accurately documented an exhilarating performance of pumping roots-based Blues and Rock, with lyrics about good women gone bad, booze, worn-out shoes, and the trials and tribulations of romantic love - in short: sixteen songs about real life as most people know it. In 2011 HB released a 12" vinyl EP "Howl", produced by Kai Strauss, and next came "Date With The Devil", released in 2012, an album, again, lauded by aficionados and critics alike. Recently, in 2014, Howlin' Bill celebrated his 15th anniversary as an entertainer pur sang. Backed by a rock solid rhythm section consisting of drummer Daddy T and bass player Walkin' Winne, and with ace-guitar-player Little Jimmy completing the line-up, Howlin' Bill and his bottomless deep voice and howlin' harp continue to entertain and razzle-dazzle audiences everywhere. And now America calls! The International Blues Challenge, a signature event of the Blues Foundation, will be held January 20-24, 2015 on Beale Street in Memphis, TN, turning the historic district into a four-day extravaganza for more than 120 Blues acts from around the world, including Howlin' Bill from Belgium - who - by the way, was the 2011 winner of the European Blues Challenge in Berlin, Germany. Howlin' Bill's performance in Memphis will follow closely on the heels of the Jan. 13 release of his brand-new album "Hungry"
