Gallagher & Lyle were succeeded by Robin Lucas and Drew McCulloch and Chris Stewart came in on bass until Steve Bingham. Ken Slaven was added on violin.
ORIGIN OF NAME - When Small Faces broke up they were heavily in debt. Ronnie Lane felt these circumstances weighed heavily agains success with a new band, as the musicians might be regarded as a bunch of drop-outs. They stood a slim chance. That's why he chose the name, although he didn't have cause to use it at the time because Faces developed from Small Faces. He formed Slim Change in the autumn of 1973, and lauched his tented production the Passin Show in May 1974.
