Snowapple ooze originality and they test the boundaries between folk and pop in an accessible and charming manner. With exquisite three part harmonies and even some brief operatic interludes, Snowapple create a unique and ethereal musical experience that ranges from upbeat and light to dark and sinister. All the while, their delicious melodies take you to both familiar and unknown places.
The three ladies from Amsterdam composing Snowapple are first and foremost highly trained and talented vocalists who also play a range of instruments including guitar, mandolin, glockenspiel and keyboards in support of their vocal gymnastics. They made their breakthrough in several underground music scenes when they released their eponymous debut album in 2013. After gaining considerable international fame when touring Europe, the U.K. and the U.S. for over a year, Snowapple present us with a new album full of musical and stunning harmony singing. Illusion is the title of the album and the first single California will be available in the U.S./Canada in November 2014.
This second album takes us on a journey into a world of imagination and storytelling. In search of an adventurous new sound, Snowapple experiment with electronics, improvised music, Krautrock and classical music. The result is a startling, uniquely eclectic, yet wholly natural mix of styles, which will enchant from the first note until the final fade.
