Mauro Gargano
Mauro was born in Bari, Italy in 1972.
He begins to study electric bass with Vito Di Modugno at the Pentagramma.
Subsequently, after having studied classical and jazz double bass alongside Italian masters (Maurizio Quintavalle, Furio Di Castri, Paolo Fresu and Enrico Rava), he left for Paris in 1998 and continued his classical double bass studies in the conservatory of the 4th arrondissement with Christian Gentet.
Later he graduated with full marks at the CNSM in Paris in the “Jazz et musique improvisée” category studying with Riccardo Del Frà, Daniel Humair, Hervé Sellin, François Theberge, Glenn Ferris.

Alessandro Sgobbio
Pianist and composer, co-founder of the Pericopes project and leader of the Italian-Norwegian quartet Silent Fires, Alessandro Sgobbio was nominated for TopJazz (new best talents of Italian jazz), subsequently receiving the Umbria Jazz Contest and Padova Carrarese awards. Trained at the Conservatory of Parma and the Norges Musikkhøgskole in Oslo, Alessandro receives the second prize at the Luca Flores Competition in Florence and is selected in the Martial Solal competition in Paris. In France, Alessandro Sgobbio creates and produces new recording projects, including the Charm trio and the Debra's Dream sextet. Eleven albums released as leader / co-leader, with over 200 concerts performed in America, Europe and China with the transatlantic trio Pericopes + 1. The recent album “Forests”, focused on the theme of spirituality, was selected as the album of the month by the monthly Musica Jazz and Europe Jazz Network.

Christophe Marguet
Born in 1965, he studied with Jacques Bonnardel, Michel Sardaby, Keith Copeland, lived on music from the age of 20 and did internships with Kenny Barron, David Liebman, Richie Beirach and John Abercrombie.
Later he played with many musicians including Barney Wilen, Alain Jean-Marie, Vincent Herring, René Urtreger, Turk Mauro, Stephane Grappelli, Didier Levallet, Enrico Rava, François Corneloup, Richard Galliano, François Jeanneau, Paolo Fresu, Glenn Ferris, Marc Ducret, Joachim Kühn, Gian Luigi Trovesi, Louis Sclavis, Claude Barthélémy, Yves Robert, Christof Lauer, Michel Portal, Dominique Pifarély, Ricardo Del Fra, Mat Maneri, Herb Robertson, Boyan Z, Barry Guy, Paul Rogers, Kenny Wheeler, François Couturier, Larry Schneider, Joëlle Léandre, John Scofield, Joe Lovano ...
In 1993 he founded his trio with Sébastien Texier and Olivier Sens. He has performed in most of the major jazz festivals in France and Europe and has performed in many foreign countries in Asia, the Americas and Africa.
He participated in the recording of the soundtrack for Bertrand Tavernier: “Ça commence aujourdhui”, with music by Louis Sclavis “Holy Lola”, and music by Henri Texier. During his career he received several awards including 1st Group Prize and 1st Composition Prize with his trio “Resistance Poétique” (Sébastien Texier and Olivier Sens) at the Jazz de La Défense competition in 1995.
He also received the Django d´or (French Revelation Hope) and the “Talents Jazz” (Adami Award) in 1998 for his first trio album “Resistance Poétique”. In 2004, he received the rank of knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, and more recently several "CHOC" awards (2008, 2012 and 2013) for his records "Itrane", "Pulsion" and "Looking for Parker" from JazzMagazine magazine.
