Paul Ji is an aspiring young pianist living and studying in France and UK. Paul is the Grand Winner of the 2019 France 2 TV show “Prodiges”. The show received record high viewer rate of 16.6% during Christmas & New Year prime time broadcast. Paul is a Young Steinway Artist. His new album “Piano” was released by Warner Classics. Paul is also the founder of Music for Good.
Paul is currently studying at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot. He studies under one of the renowned French pianists and conductors, Mr. Jean-Bernard Pommier. Though the youngest student at his conservatory class, he managed to be the best student of his class and received the highest award unanimously by the jury with congratulations.
Paul won many international piano competitions in America, France and Germany and performed at some of the most prestigious music halls and concerts in the world such as Carnegie Hall in New York City, Berlin Philharmonie, Hamburg Laeiszhalle, Steinway International Music festival, Annecy Music Festival.
He started his first piano lesson at 4.5 years old in the United States. At age 6, he started to demonstrated his strong interest in piano and shined his music talent under the instruction of professor Qin Yinming, who is the 1st Piano master degree receiver in China from Shanghai Music Conservatoire, an accomplished pianist, winner of the Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition and Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres in France (awarded a Knight by the French culture minister).
Paul’s passionate performances received very high praise from many established pianists such as Lang Lang, John Lill, etc.
