Robert Janz - Real Music, Vol. 3 (2021)

The third and final installment in my trilogy of pivotal instrumental works spanning 5 years of musical development. Featuring new explorations like the metal-infused "Grit", the orchestral jazz-influenced "There Is No Meaning" and upbeat "Gingham Picnic Shirt", soundtrack cut "Over The River", the fusion/T-Square-reminiscent "Weightless", and even the lo-fi hip-hop-inspired "Idle". Bookend tracks "Negotiation" and "Lost Fantasies" represent the direction for the entire album, having originally been written specifically for small-ensemble performance (a version of "Lost Fantasies" in this style appeared on the DRP compilation "The Best of 2019".)
