Carolina Velázquez was born in Córdoba (Argentina). She studied at the Superior Conservatory of Music "F.T. Garzón" in the chair of Professor Osvaldo Muñoz and years later at the School of Music, Dance and Theater "C. Carminio" of Paraná with Professor Eduardo Isaac. He took advanced courses in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Cuba and Portugal with important teachers: Eduardo Isaac, Hopkinson Smith, David Russell, Leo Brouwer, Alvaro Pierri, Dolores Costoyas, Eduardo Egüez, Abel Carlevaro, Marlos Nobre, Paulo Bellinati, Mónica Cosachov , Omar Cyrulnik, Carlé Costa, Margarita Escarpa, Juan Carlos Laguna, Marco Socías, among others, as well as Argentine and Latin American folklore workshops with prominent composers such as Carlos Aguirre, Quique Sinesi, Wálter Heinze and Juan Falú.

She participated in international competitions in Argentina, Mexico and Portugal. In 1998 she obtained the 1st prize in the "I Guitarras del Mundo Contest" and the "Stimulus Prize for Young Instrumentalists of Córdoba".

During 2005 she recorded her first album "Natural Images" with works by Argentine composers. Years later, she was invited to participate in the record editions and concerts of the Tritten-Bonfiglio duos, on the occasion of the presentation of their CD "Ecos del camino" (2008) and the duo Arelovich-Brizuela, at the launch of their CD " One ”(2011).

Between 2007 and 2010 he directed the project "Laboratory for guitarists" coordinating numerous interdisciplinary courses with leading guitar teachers, among them: Carlé Costa, Omar Cyrulnik, Dolores Costoyas, Adrián Ramírez, Paulo Vinicius and Silvina López, with whom he maintained a permanent exchange of knowledge about musical interpretation integrated into different body disciplines. She also carried out the project of the recording by her students of a CD in tribute to the Cuban composer Leo Brouwer.

In 2006 she was invited by the Conservatory of Music of the Federal University of Pelotas (Brazil) to teach a course on "Body training for musicians" and give a recital at said institution.

She performed numerous concerts as a soloist and integrating chamber groups, among them the duo "Vento Madeira" with the flutist María Pía Funes and "Per suonare a due" with the guitarist Agustín Albrieu Llinás.

He participated in several editions of the "Guitarras del Mundo" Festivals and the "International Guitar Festival of the Northwest of Córdoba", as well as in prestigious guitar series, among them "Guitarras al Centro" in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Exact Sciences, Físicas y Naturales of the UNC, "International Classical Guitar Meeting of La Falda" among others.

She taught in the guitar chair of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Córdoba and in the Suzuki Method of the National University of Córdoba.

She currently lives in the city of La Paz (Entre Ríos), where she continues with her musical work as a performer, researching and composing music for guitar.

Original works by Argentine and Latin American composers for guitar make up her most frequent repertoire, as well as compositions of her authorship, transcriptions and arrangements for 7-string and requinto guitar.
