Gianni Brezzo - The Awakening (2021)

A little jazz sweetness doesn't hurt anyone, I promise. Especially when Gianni Brezzo is in charge. And contrary to what one might think, the musician and producer is based in Cologne and is therefore not Italian (his real name is Marvin Horsch) but has the groove in his skin, as evidenced by his first EP from name of The Awakening, released on Jakarta Records.

Composed of seven tracks, we wake up slowly with these dreamlike jazz flavors tinged with sumptuous funk. This is particularly the case of swaying and warm instrumentals such as "Flower Rain" to the tunes of David Axelrod and "In My Arms" without forgetting the title track as resplendent as a sunrise. The music of Gianni Brezzo will bewitch us like no one without forgetting the participation of J.
