Le Toubifri is in the years 2010-20, what the 2be3 were in the 90s: an institution, a flagship group close to becoming legendary, with talent on top of that.
Because The Very Big Experimental Toubifri Orchestra, of its full name, is a concentrate of talents. Founded by Grégoire Gensse, to whom this album is dedicated, and made up of 18 of the most gifted musicians in the Lyon region (Mélissa Acchiardi heard within ARFI, Lucas Hercberg and Antoine Mermet with Chromb! Or Felicien Bouchot in Bigre !, etc), this mega orchestra has sworn to always give everything and share. From their first album "Waiting in the Toaster" to the magnificent "Nous" of 2017 with Loic Lantoine who dedicates them to the general public, the 18 companions have traced their route without looking back or regretting anything.
“Dieu Poulet”, their new opus which will be released on April 30, is a stone thrown in the pond of the big-band. If their press kit loudly announces "2021. The hour of the last slow is fast approaching", we can assure you that this big step will lead you straight to the last pub before the end of the world: a rock energy propelled by a section gargantuan brass, jazz tinged but not stained with pop, French chanson close to a feeling of infinity, like a whole that promises to truster the hits parades and the ears for a while.
