After the restart of BARBEE BOYS, Kyoko released the limited-edition singles "One Flame, Two Hearts" and "Welcome to the Nightmare" as a solo project in 2020, and this is the first full-length album in about eight and a half years as a solo.
She teamed up with Koichi Tabo, a composer and producer who has worked on many artists such as Superfly and Takuya Kimura, and recorded a total of 10 songs including 2 singles limited to distribution last year. Starting with "VIOLET", the song with the same title as the album title, the rock number "The Black Knight" was created with the intention of enjoying calls and responses with fans, and the simple ballad "the days-Shiawase" consisting of piano and vocals. There is a wide variety of songs that show Kyoko's various expressions, such as "Why don't you?" And "" Hell, it's me "" written by Kyoko herself. Kenta Hamano, a zainichi funk, wrote the lyrics for "Tone Ride Dance," which marks the end of the album, and is a danceable number with rhythmic and pop sounds and playful words like Hamano.
A whole body work that strongly impresses the new frontier of apricot, which was created over a year while challenging various first attempts.
