I love Graffiti6's first album "Colours" (still play it regularly) and saw several of their fantastic live performances during their 2011-12 U.S. tour, so I was excitedly anticipating their second effort. Thrilled that it's finally here! I've been playing it over and over since getting it. "The Bridge" is definitely going to be my soundtrack this summer.
The album opens with a shortened, stripped-down acoustic version of "Beside You." You'll get an idea of what's ahead when the intimate vocal with piano ends softly and gently with "take it easy, baby"... then "The Bridge" blows wide open! "Bridging" pop/rock/r&b/folk sensibilities and eras from the '60s to today, this is the kind of eclectic music I love and have come to expect from Graffiti6 - Jamie Scott and TommyD. Every song is a gem, but my personal favorites are breezy "U Got the Sunshine" and completely out-of-left-field, fun "Vocoda Orange." By vanishingirl
