Ben Granfelt Band - 20th Anniversary Tour (2015)

2014 was the year that this guitar virtuoso celebrated his 20th anniversary with his Ben Granfelt Band and to mark the occasion Ben Granfelt embarked on a celebratory tour, capturing performances for release of a 3-disc set (2 audio compact disc albums + DVD): 20th Anniversary Tour. On the road Ben invited the same line-up as the one with whom he recorded his latest studio album Handmade; Marko Karhu on guitar and John Vihervâ on bass, except for the German leg of the tour drummer Kai Jokiaho due to previous commitments was replaced by Risto 'Klingeling' Rikala. Piecing together a set list from such a lengthy and successful career wasn't easy, but naturally quite a few songs were picked from Handmade, his most recent studio album, while Ben and the band came up with all new arrangements for the older songs to fit the current line-up and new concept of the band, also making these versions of the older songs more interesting to the fans.
