Harmonica Shah Blues Band - Tell It To Your Landlord (2003)

Shah's album is a his best to date. Shah brings his brand of raw, Detroit blues to the forefront with his gritty vocals, streetwise lyrics and powerful harp. Combine that with the exceptional slide guitar of Detroit local Howard Glazer and a very tight rhythm section and you have the recipe for one very good release. The CD features 67 minutes of eleven original tunes and one cover of "Baby, Scratch My Back." The somewhat nonsensical "Bumpity Bump" and the often overdone "Scratch My Back" are probably the weakest tunes on the CD but, with those two exceptions, the remaining tracks are right on the money.
