Great uptempo, rockin’, barrel-house blues recordings from the former Shakin’ Stevens band member who has developed a huge cult following around all points of the globe. Many tasty, well chosen covers, including the incomparable rocker “Club Savoy”, that almost single handedly ushered in a new shag era back in the early ‘80’s. The tune is also a favorite of swing dancers of all persuasions. Several well-written originals, with a true feel for the vintage R & B period , round out the package.
