For twenty years now, Timo´s home is on stage. His love and passion belongs to the Blues. After twenty years as a sideman he finally made a Blues Record like it wasn´t recorded in Germany for years. It´s been reviewed very friendly by german press. The renowned (German) Bluesnews Magazine recommended it as Album of the month and considered it as Modern Blues from Germany with versatile guitars, emotionally played, varied and far off any cliches. The French DNA marked him simply as Un grand monsieur du Blues. The Mannheimer Morgen added: His Blues doesn´t explode from emotional overheat, but fascinates from glimmering lightness and glowing filigree, while the Meier Magazine simply nailed it as cool modern urban City Bluessound. Musically grown up and deeply rooted with Twelvebars, nevertheless Cover-, Party- und Playback-Shows passed his way. It was all about survival. He backed up Artists like Kathy Kelly (Kelly Family), Chris Norman (Smokie) or the German-Boy-Band Bed & Breakfast. But he never lost his target: To realize his identity as a Blues musician on his own album. Persistantly he organized Blues Jams in times of Eurodance, played Blueslicks in Mainstream-Pop-Productions and surprised some Pop-Coverbands with highly emotional Bluessolos in Bubblegum Pop Songs. But he´s also been jamming with musicians as Larry Garner, Jim Kahr or T.M. Stevens. Larry gave him his stagename "T-Bone". "Hey T Bone, you jam like a motherfucker", he called out loud after a hot jam in a smokefilled club in Houston Texas. And that´s it: Timo Gross jams! Only the moment counts on stage. With his strat Timo Gross sinks kneedeep into the Blues and deeply creeps under his audiences skin. That´s the Blues, how it should sound 2005. With his emotional playing he puts his personal stamp on Blues Classics like "Further on up the Road" as well as on his originals. He found his own sound! From Down Home Blues to Jazzy Flavours soulfully his guitar whispers and moans all tongues of the Blues. Besides Timo Gross is a selfconfident singer, songwriter and selfmade- producer, who´s also responsible for the production of his album. His authentic songs, that the Dutch critic Steven Verhoeven simply described solid as a rock, are about ups and downs in life, about ev`ry day people and ev`ry day shit. With his emotional and earthy voice (Bluesmagazine, France) he sings about life on the road. Voice and guitar form a fascinating unity and seem to be connected magically. On stage he´s supported by two longtime companions on his Blues mission. Michael Siegwart (Drums) und Frowin Ickler (Bass): Tight and compact, always keeping the groove in the centre (Concerto, Austria) this rhythmsection after 500 gigs runs like a machine. This trio starts where others play their encore the Rheinpfalz wrote in an euphoric critic. Here comes a band that´s grown, suffered, partied and lived together. A band that interprets the Blues always new, but always remains to be faithful to its melancholic and emotional soul. Timo Gross and Band. Best of Blues!
