Don Grady was an actor and musician best-known for starring on the long-running 1960s sitcom "My Three Sons." That he recorded an album under his real name in the '70s was a pleasant surprise. On Home Grown, Agrati wrote and performs a diverse yet consistently tuneful set of songs. While much of the material comes across as too heavily indebted to Harry Nilsson, overall it reveals Agrati as an engaging talent casually at home in the whimsical, show-bizzy 1970s singer-songwriter scene where Nilsson and Paul Williams flourished. Highlights include the strong ballad "Love, Come My Way" and the retro-ragtime "One Man Woman." A gem!
