Rey DeMichel led several Big Bands to the Midwest. Rey studied at the Jazz Conservatory of Music in New York & the Schillinger School of Music in Boston. He later became a musical arranger at KMTV-TV Omaha, Nebraska, before moving to California, where, among many things he assembled a standout bunch of musicians for these recording dates made in the early part of 1959.
