Domenico Lancellotti é referência máxima em termos de instrumentistas da música popular brasileira contemporânea. O carioca, de ascendência italiana, no anos 90 formou uma banda de rock experimental, “Mulheres Q Dizem Sim”, tendo começado nesse período a trabalhar com Moreno Veloso e com Alexandre Kassin. Lancellotti gravou Domenico +2 com Moreno e Kassin, no âmbito do projecto +2. O artista colaborou com nomes como Adriana Calcanhotto, Caetano Veloso, Daniel Jobim, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil, Fernanda Abreu e Quarteto em Cy, participando também em projectos como a Orquestra Imperial ou Os Ritmistas. Depois de editar Cine Privê (2011) e Serra dos Órgãos (2017), acrescentado agora à lista Raio (2021).
