After more than 10 years of uninterrupted trajectory, the Isas-Kwiek Duo finally made their recording debut. Recorded in the Argentina room of the CCK by the young record label Virtuoso Records, the album is a faithful reflection of the interests and great artistic capacity of the duo.

The sound is very well achieved and the interpretations are of a high technical-expressive level, something to which the violinist Cecilia Isas and the pianist Alan Kwiek have us pleasantly accustomed in their live performances.

The variety of styles and composers (and composers) make the tension and interest of the listener never wane. From the vibrant, energetic and melancholic beginning of his version of “Adiós Nonino” by Astor Piazzolla (1921-1992), passing through the nationalism of the Argentine composer Floro Ugarte (1884-1975), the romanticism of Clara Schumann (1819-1896) and the neo-classicism of the Polish composer Grazina Bacewizc (1909-1969), the album is a journey through soundscapes and moods that are well worth a careful and detailed listening.

As a "color" detail but not at all minor, the album was recorded in whole takes, this means that each piece we listen to does not have cuts or editions of any kind, something that is rarely done in current studio recordings, due to the great difficulty involved in "sustaining" a performance without errors, pifies, detunings, etc. from beginning to end. Especially with a material of this level of musical complexity and after the number of hours that recording an album implies and the fatigue (physical and emotional) that that entails. The result allows to achieve absolute continuity, tension and freshness during all the works, as if it were a live album or a concert.
