Though I've been so close to the gaping abyss. Like so many before me, For humanity is a particularly enduring species, which can rise from the ashes and turn the terrible into something beautiful.

This record is about why. That which has carried me, through these painful ways, by which all human life is characterized. Uncertainty. Unfair. Suffering.

The reason that carries me, is that man, despite these circumstances, more often chooses to do good. The music on this record, is carefully selected to remind of this goodness. It is music that y-lovers have danced to, that young people without a sense of consequence have drunk too much to, that children have been redeemed to, that people have died to, that people have reminded each other through.
