Ever discover a band and wonder what took you so long? I don't know much about the band Diego's Umbrella, but this CD is amazing. It sounds like punk gypsy polka fused with off kilter humor. The songs are each face paced and fun - they're great for long drives and also as interesting background music for parties. My personal favorite track is the first,Dar Borjka. It's a good summary for the overall feel and theme of the album. I know you can listen to a snippet here at amazon, but I'd recommend going to YouTube and listening to the entire track - it'll have you grooving in five seconds.

I titled my review as 'the anti-emo' because this is essentially what the band is. There is no mopey introspection and the closest they get to the forlorn lover is in a track called The Fiberoptic Elflord. I'd also recommend, in this same vein, Gogol Bordello and DaBuchka.
