António Vale da Conceição - Four Hands Piano (2021)

This work is the result of several compositions made for cinema and television and that ended up not being included in the projects. Still, the musician did not want to lose the work done in recent years.
“I've been working on some films and setting aside several notes that didn't work. These are songs that I like, but that were of no use ”, he told HM.

António Vale da Conceição worked alone on this project. “All the songs are made for the piano, but I'm not a pianist. This work intends to mirror the composition, the soundtrack, more than the piano technique itself. ”

Without instruments played live, “4 Hand Pianos” ends up having “a very rich expressive component”. “I would like the album to reflect the composition's intentions a little. This is a tension album, because the films ask for it, regardless of whether they are scenes with more or less drama, comedy or action. It is the tension that makes things move forward and that there is a development ”, adds the musician.
