Simon Caine, a six-piece rock group which takes its music very seriously, comes from Southern Ontario one of the most fertile fields from competent and creative musicians on this continent.
The group has been working together for about 12 months getting better all the tune and gathering enthusiasts wherever they have played. Their following includes many fellow musicians… a good indication of the group’s abilities.
Simon himself is a talented writer and singer. He has assembled around him a highly cohesive band of musicians and friends - piano player Pat Codfrey, Bruce Pennycook on woodwinds, bass guitarist Dennis Pendrith, John Savage on percussion, and lead guitarist Bill Palmer.
Between them they have come up with a sound that is unlike anything i've ever heard. The songs are about diverse topics, with remarkable lyrical perspective.
Simon Caine is anxious to spread its music throughout the world. This album, their first, takes a large step in that direction.
