Curtis Matheson is an up-and-coming young blues guitarist and vocalist, and has been making quite a name for himself in the Atlantic Canadian Blues Scene in the past two years. Since 2012, he has performed all over the province of Nova Scotia on numerous occasions as a member of the band Highway 125. He has been fortunate enough to have been taken under the wings of Canadian blues icons such as Joe Murphy and Matt Minglewood (amongst several others), and already has shared the stage with the likes of Garrett Mason, John Campbelljohn, Tom Holland (James Cotton Band), Steve Marriner and Tony D (Monkeyjunk), Christine Campbell, Paul Deslauriers, E.B. Anderson & The Resolutes, Carson Downey, Thom Swift, Terry Whalen Band, Glenn Parker Band, Shrimpdaddy and the Sharpshooters, and many, many more. Now, Curtis has decided to take his music into a different direction with the release of his debut solo album "A Particular Blue".

A Particular Blue is a 13-track album that features 7 original tracks along with 6 renditions of classic blues standards by the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Johnson, Freddie King, and more. The album also features Curtis Matheson performing most of the instrumentation throughout the album, with the exception of some special guests. Amongst these special guests are Matt Minglewood and Glenn Parker MacNeil, who both sing co-lead vocal and play guitar alongside Curtis on the album. At the age of just 19 years, Curtis Matheson is testifying with his guitar playing and matured voice both on stage and in the studio, and although he is only young and still in early musical development, the boy is well on his way.
