'Loose Blooms' is the debut vinyl release from Dialect (aka Liverpool musician, composer and broadcaster Andrew PM Hunt), and the newest release on Forest Swords' freshly minted Dense Truth label.

A masterstroke of modern day Mersey ambient, its jagged sound world triangulates Arthur Russell's transcendent pop studies, Tim Hecker's sonic sculpting and Brian Eno's most free-flowing work into a uniquely immersive journey – touching on ancient folklore, modern day environmental anxieties and the instabilities of the natural world and our relationship with it.

Inspired by a trip to Joshua Tree and a subsequent spell in the Scottish Highlands, the album was pieced together during drizzly late nights above a club in Liverpool's nightlife district. Vast excepts of field recordings are woven with bubbling FM synthesis and deformed software experiments picking up ghostly frequencies of Liverpool's iconic musical past along the way.

Heavily processed cello, synthesised mutations and fizzing pads come together to form a weathered collage, while tracks bob, weave and merge into each other like a radio dial being re-tuned. It's an unexpectedly emotional record that reshapes and fossilises over the course of its 36 minute run time, asking more questions than it answers, and cements Hunt as one of most exciting new producers in the North West.
