Born in Naples (Italy); Ettore Causa started his studies of violin and viola at the Naples Conservatory with G. Francavilla; and after graduating with the highest marks he was selected to study at the International Menuhin Music Academy (Switzerland) where he stayed for four years. He was taught by Sir Yehudi Menuhin; Alberto Lysy and Johannes Eskar; who were to become important inspirational guides in his development. In 1996 he won a scholarship to work under the guidance of Michael Tree (Guarneri Quartet) at the Manhattan School of Music; New York.
