J:Dead - A Complicated Genocide (2021)

After the well-received single "Feeding on me", the shoes were big to fill with this first full album by J:Dead. This single opens the album to set the level for the rest of the tracks.

There are some more laidback tracks like "Haunt", but the majority of the tracks are very dancefloor-sensative. Although it does not sound by far as Tactical Sekt or Tyske Ludder (the bands Jay played live-drums for in the past), you can definately hear Jay has learned a lot about how to make a crowd move.

The album is very poppy, which may have serious good reception by fans of the newer synthpop like Ien Oblique or United & Identified.

Highlight for me is definitely the title track "A complicated genocide", where the controlled atmosphere of the more polished tracks makes place for an unleashed beast.
