Angel Forrest - Angel's 11 (2016)

With more than 27 years of career, nine albums and the winner of the Maple Blues Award for Female vocalist of the year 2014, 2015 and 2016, Angel Forrest releases on March 11th, 2016, her birthday, her new album entitled Angel's 11. Ambitious and original, this project demonstrates the friendship between Angel and the 11 guitarists who are playing on this new album. It’s with the complicity of Denis Coulombe that Angel wrote eleven songs with the guitarist who would put his musical touch on it in mind. Angel offers a rich album with various sounds ranging from blues to rock to jazz.

Avec plus de 27 ans de carrière et 9 albums, la récipiendaire du Maple Blues Award pour Interprète féminine de l’année 2014, 2015 et 2016, Angel Forrest présente le 11 mars 2016, jour de son anniversaire, un nouvel opus intitulé Angel’s 11. Ce projet ambitieux et original témoigne de l’amitié qu’Angel partage avec les 11 guitaristes qui jouent sur ce nouvel album. C’est avec soin qu’Angel et son complice, Denis Coulombe, ont écrit onze chansons en fonction du guitariste qui allait poser sa touche musicale. On retrouve donc un album d’une grande richesse aux sonorités variées allant du blues, au rock en passant par le jazz.
