Former Less Than Jake drummer, Vinnie
Fiorello ,Westbound Train frontman Obi Fernandez, and Alex Stern of Big D And The Kids Table created The Inevitables, a multimedia project encompassing both comics and a soundtrack of ska and reggae music. Today,the next component of The Inevitables' world, " The Inevitables vs. Youth City Sound System" Dub EP is OUT- A 8 track effort combining new songs with dub versions of songs from their debut LP (released October 30).
Fernandez says, ".. What excites me most about The Inevitable's vs Youth City Sound System is not only were we able to take the interludes from the LP and turn them into full songs. But we created another lane in which Vinnie, Alex and myself can continue to push ourselves as songwriters and deepen the soundtrack to The Inevitable's story as it unfolds..."
This time around Fiorello, Fernandez, and Stern enlisted Big D And The Kids Table Saxophonist Jon Degen to work his magic dubbing existing album tracks and branching out album interludes into full sonic ideas.
Degen says "... I'm a collaborative musician by nature, so being able to work on music with friends from around the country has been a beacon of light during the pandemic..."
Also collaborating on this EP is Sean-Paul Pillsworth (Nightmares for a Week) on vocals, and special guests: Lynval Golding, from legendary ska godfathers, THE SPECIALS, Brittany Luna of CATBITE, and, New York City Ska pioneer, King Django.
