With the support of percussionist Karim Ziad and vocalist Medhi Askeur from the Orchestre National de Barbes, the young Algerian guitarist Anis Benhallak presents his first album, called Paradoxical Project. It s an album filled with elegance, rigor, scents of the East and a new jazz style that is both tight and melodic. Paradoxical Project features all originals with the exception of Benhallak s adaptation of a large Algerian traditional composition called S ayda.
