Takahiro Mukai - INORTIA (2021)

Onto Records is proud to present INORTIA, a new release resulting from the collaboration between musician TAKAHIRO MUKAI and artist Paul Lepetit.

In this new album, the Japanese electronic music composer TAKAHIRO MUKAI offers a puzzling piece of work in which he shapes an abrasive and sharp sound typical of his dystopian and mysterious universe. The DIY machines of the old world take their rightful place in the well-oiled orchestration of the prolific producer from Osaka. INORTIA is a singular piece in contrast to the rest of his abundant discography.

For this release, we are pleased to welcome back Paul Lepetit to collaborate again with Onto Records. The young artist digs a rhyzomatic and polychrome creature ready to come to life out from his sketchbooks, contrasting with the post-industrial vision of music. Graduating from Ésam Caen/Cherbourg in 2019, Paul Lepetit spent the year 2020 in residence at DOC! where he was able to deepen his search for new forms mixing drawing and sculpture among other modes of expression. Each INORTIA cassette is a unique medium for his graphic explorations and spontaneous drawings.
