Barry Kerr, multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer and painter releases his album 'Cairn'. Drawing inspiration from the wild landscape of Connemara and the unearthly stone markers that can be found there, this record is a collection of Barry’s own compositions and also includes a set of jigs composed by piper Liam O’Flynn, arranged and interpreted by Kerr. Barry also spent time researching the Liam O’Flynn Collection at the Irish Traditional Music Archive which also informed the work. Collaborators on the album include Niamh Dunne on fiddle and Ryan Molloy on piano and it was recorded by Seán Óg Graham at Bannview Studios.
