From Marcela Lemarivá's commentary on the original LP album 8116 0385 "Jiřina Marková (Mozart, Donizetti, ...)" released in Panton in 1983 and now published in Supraphon for the first time digitally:
The young singer's gramophone record becomes a historical documentary at the moment of its creation. It gives a unique picture of a certain phase of his artistic development, which changes with each new task, new experience. JIŘINA MARKOVÁ (* September 9, 1957), currently the youngest soloist of the National Theater Opera, saw her first gramophone portrait in a sharp artistic rise in the fourth season of her work on our first stage ... Jiřina Marková's acting matured incredibly quickly at the National Theater that he combines acting instinct with intelligence, immediacy with conscious self-control. He thinks about each character, looking for means of expression. But on stage, he captures the spontaneous performance. In each of the sixteen roles, large and small, which she has created so far at the National Theater, she felt a difference in style and character, each breathing in a spark of life truth. Her Smetana girl roles - Barče, radiating a sunny atmosphere, Lidka in Two Widows, Esmeralda, Jitka and recently a lyrically tender Katuška, have a common feature not only in her naturally fresh youth, but also in the rare gift of stage simplicity and Smetana's purity. No less rare comic talent, sparkling humor was shown by Marková for the first time in Klárinka in Hanuš's Servant of Two Masters, then in Ortensia in Mirandolina B. Martinů and in one of her most successful roles, in Orff's Chytračka, awarded together with Barča ČHF creative prize. These include three smiling Mozart characters - Papageno in The Magic Flute, Zerlin in Don Giovanni, Zuzanka in Figaro's Wedding and in Weber's The Sorcerer Anička. The ability of relaxed natural expression, which surprised her in the first big role, in the civilian character of Anna Hilf in Ivan Jirko's opera The Marvelous Adventures of Arthur Row, is not lost by J. Marková in the typically opera world repertoire, in Micael in Carmen G. Bizet, graduated. A small area of a short ascent is enough to create dramatic tension for Jiřina Marková. Examples are Bětka in Pauer's Zuzana Vojířová and The First Nun in Prokofiev's Fire Angel ... The current artistic profile of J. Marková is complemented by the first gramophone recordings - Kuchtík in Rusalka (in the National Theater he sings the 1st washcloth), Mariken in B. Marů's Games Waiter - A Miracle Child - A Disciple in Mr. Brouček's Janáček Trips. He also sings more and more in concert - song and opera repertoire.
